What is Rounddrop?
An app to record shared expenses and know who owes whom. It works for trips, the flat, couples or any plan with friends.
How much does it cost?
Rounddrop is free today. If there are ever paid features or ads, we'll let you know at least 30 days in advance.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your phone's or computer's browser, at rounddrop.app. If you like, you can install it on your phone like any other app.
Do the others need an account?
Not to start: you add them by name. When they want to see the accounts, they join with the group link and pick who they are.
How do I sign in if there's no password?
You type your email and we send you a 6-digit code. You can also sign in with your Google or Apple account.
Adding expenses
Can I split other than equally?
Yes: by amounts, percentages or shares, between just some people, and with several people paying the same expense.
Can I add expenses in another currency?
Yes. You choose the currency when adding the expense and we convert it to the group's at the European Central Bank rate. If it's a currency the ECB doesn't publish, you type the rate.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. If you add an expense offline, it's saved on your phone and sent automatically when you're back online.
Can I keep the receipt?
Yes. Each expense accepts photos, PDFs and Office documents. And with «Scan receipt», the photo fills in the expense for you.
What if I make a mistake?
You can change or delete any expense, and undo the deletion. Each expense records who changed it and when.
Paying and getting paid
Does Rounddrop move money?
No. It only keeps the accounts. You pay each other by Bizum, bank transfer or cash, and then record it in Rounddrop.
What is «Simplify debts»?
It combines what everyone owes into the fewest payments possible. If you prefer, turn it off in the group settings and each person pays back whoever covered for them.
How does Bizum work?
You add your phone number to your profile and whoever owes you sees it when settling up, with the amount. Rounddrop doesn't connect to your bank.
Privacy and account
Who can see my expenses?
Only the people in each group. Careful: anyone with the group link can join. If it's been shared too widely, create a new one in the group settings.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell your data or build advertising profiles.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in the European Union. The privacy policy explains in detail who processes it and why.
What happens to my expenses if I leave?
If you leave a group or delete your account, your expenses stay in the group under your name, so the others' accounts don't change.
How do I delete my account?
From your profile, in «Advanced options» › «Delete my account». We send you a code to confirm it. You can also ask us by email.
Which languages is it in?
Spanish and English. You choose in your profile.
