Terms of use
Version 2026-10-18
This English version is a courtesy translation. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
These terms govern the use of Rounddrop, on the rounddrop.app website and in its mobile apps. The service is provided by FOS Systems Solutions S.L. (Tax ID B87180022), with the details shown in the legal notice. Please read them before creating your account: by creating it, you accept them.
1. What Rounddrop is
A tool for keeping track of shared expenses (for a flat, a trip, a couple or anything else) and knowing who owes what to whom. You can create groups, invite other people, add expenses and payments, attach photos and documents, comment and see the balances.
2. Rounddrop doesn't move money
Rounddrop only keeps the accounts: it doesn't charge, pay or hold anyone's money. Payments between you (in cash, by Bizum, by bank transfer) are made on your own, and Rounddrop only records them. Balances are the result of what has been added to the group.
3. Price, paid plans and advertising
Rounddrop is free today. To be able to keep it going, we reserve the right to:
- offer paid features or plans, or change what the free version includes;
- show advertising on the website or in the apps.
If we do, we will let you know in the app and by email at least 30 days in advance. We will never charge you for anything you haven't expressly signed up for, and before signing up you will see the price with taxes included. If you don't agree with the change, before it applies you can download your groups' expenses and delete your account, free of charge.
If advertising needed cookies or identifiers that are not technical, we will ask for your permission first and you will be able to say no.
4. How the account is created
- Steps: you enter your email, we send you a 6-digit code, you enter it, add your name and accept these terms and the privacy policy. You can also sign in with Google or Apple; in that case, by continuing you accept them too.
- Correcting errors: before creating the account you can go back and change your email or name. Afterwards, your name and other details can be changed in Profile.
- Languages: Spanish and English. If the versions differ, the Spanish one prevails.
- Record keeping: we keep which version of these terms and of the privacy policy you accepted, when and from which connection. You can ask us for a copy at [email protected].
- Confirmation: when you create your account we send you a welcome email with a link to these terms.
- These terms are always available on this page, and you can save or print them.
5. Who can use it
You must be at least 14 years old. If you are a minor, use Rounddrop with the knowledge of whoever has parental authority or guardianship over you.
6. Your account
You are responsible for whatever is done from your account. Don't share the codes we send you or leave your session open on someone else's device. If you think someone has got into your account, sign out of all devices from Profile and write to us.
7. Groups and what you add
- What you add to a group (expenses, payments, notes, comments, photos and documents) can be seen and changed by everyone in the group. Changes are kept in the group's activity.
- Anyone with the invitation link can join the group. Only share it with people you want and, if it has spread, replace it with a new one from the group settings.
- If you add people without an account (by their name) or invite someone by email, make sure they are happy with it.
- What you add remains yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people in your group and process it only to provide you with the service.
- Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anyone's health data or other specially protected data.
8. Features that use other services
- Scan receipt: the photo of the receipt is read by an artificial intelligence to fill in the amount, the date and the description. It can make mistakes: always check what it fills in before saving.
- Other currencies: the rate we use is the one published by the European Central Bank that day and is for guidance only. For currencies it doesn't publish, the rate is the one you enter.
- Bizum and WhatsApp: Rounddrop only prepares the text or the details for you. You make the payment or send the message in those services, under their own terms.
- Sign in with Google or Apple: also governed by Google's or Apple's terms.
9. Notifications and reminders
If you turn them on, we send you notifications when someone adds an expense for you or pays you, and a reminder on Sundays if you owe something. Notifications are turned on and off in Profile or in your phone settings.
10. Proper use
Don't use Rounddrop for anything illegal, to deceive or harass other people, to send unsolicited advertising, to try to get into groups or accounts that aren't yours, or overload it by automated means. If you do, we may remove the content, limit or suspend your account and, in serious cases, close it. Except in urgent cases or for legal reasons, we will warn you first.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We do our best for Rounddrop to work well and without interruptions, but there may be outages for maintenance, due to failures or for reasons beyond our control. We may improve, change or withdraw features. If we decide to shut down the service, we will let you know at least 30 days in advance so you can download your data.
12. Liability
Check the amounts before paying. We are not liable for payments made between you, for mistakes when adding an expense, or for decisions based on a receipt reading that wasn't checked. Nor for damage resulting from using Rounddrop against these terms. None of this limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it (wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury) or the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
13. Leaving
You can delete your account whenever you want from Profile. Before that, you can download each group's expenses. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will tell you in the app and by email before they apply: at least 30 days in advance if the change affects you significantly. In that case we will ask you to accept them again; if you don't agree, you can delete your account. Each version has its date at the top of this page, and we can send you previous ones if you ask.
15. Communications
We will write to your account email about the service: the sign-in code, important notices and changes to these terms. We won't send you advertising by email without your permission.
16. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you have any problem, write to us at [email protected] and we will try to solve it. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence and to the consumer bodies of your region.
